ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Director of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships will own the top of the funnel driving awareness, opportunity, and revenue through relationships, partnerships, and proactive outreach.

Here’s a glimpse into what your role will entail:

  • Build and execute a business development strategy that generates consistent, high-quality leads for the sales team.
  • Develop partnerships with associations, industry groups, and complementary businesses that align with our ideal client profile.
  • Identify and pursue speaking opportunities for the CEO at industry events, conferences, and media outlets to build brand authority and visibility.
  • Represent Reputation Rhino at select conferences, networking events, and strategic gatherings.
  • Use AI-driven tools and data to research and identify potential clients, decision-makers, and partnership opportunities.
  • Create and manage outreach campaigns that promote Reputation Rhino’s services and generate discovery calls for the sales team.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing to align messaging, targets, and performance metrics.
  • Track and report results leads generated, partnerships established, events attended, and ROI on business development activities.
  • Think strategically not just about lead volume, but about the quality and long-term value of relationships built.

 
This role requires both strategic vision and tactical execution you’ll be building the roadmap and driving the car.

QUALIFICATIONS

Mandatory Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven experience driving business development, partnerships, or growth strategy — ideally within digital marketing, PR, SEO, or ORM.
  • Demonstrated success in building and executing partnership and outreach strategies that led to measurable revenue growth.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills — you can hold a room, tell a story, and inspire action from C-suite executives to industry association leaders.
  • Comfortable with technology and AI tools — able to use data, automation, and insight-driven research to identify opportunities and scale outreach.
  • Relationship-first mindset — proven ability to build and manage executive-level partnerships that create mutual long-term value.
  • Self-starter mentality — thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment without needing to be micromanaged.
  • Data-driven operator — experienced in managing KPIs, ROI tracking, and pipeline analytics to optimize performance and forecast growth.
  • Event and brand ambassador experience — confident representing a company publicly at conferences, media appearances, or networking events.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience securing speaking engagements and event placements for executives or company leadership.
  • Strong understanding of marketing, sales, and funnel dynamics able to translate brand awareness into measurable pipeline opportunities.
  • Experience with CRM and automation tools such as HubSpot, GHL, or Salesforce, plus comfort using Slack, Wrike, Zoom, and Google Workspace.
  • Background working directly with founders or CEOs in high-performance, scaling organizations.
  • Understanding of online reputation management, digital marketing, or PR ecosystems, and the nuances of B2B partnerships in those fields.
  • Strategic thinker and tactical executor someone who can design a growth roadmap and also get their hands dirty making it happen.
  • Collaborative team player able to work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Operations while maintaining focus on results.
  • High emotional intelligence and executive presence knows how to build trust fast, read the room, and move deals forward with integrity.
